Edward and Cheryl Johnson have been living in Hong Kong for 10 and 13 years respectively. Edward used to work in law and education and Cheryl worked with an international airline. They both gave up their secular jobs in 2005 to obey God's call to develop a media ministry to Glorify His Name in Asia. They attend the Vine Christian Fellowship in Central, Hong Kong, where they help with the intercession ministry, the Filipino Group 'One Body Ministry', and Cleansing Stream Ministry as small group leaders.

Edward began to receive prophetic inspiration while a teenager, and some would say he became saved 'prophetically' but in reality it was a sovereign revelation of the Holy Spirit. His prophetic gift was 'passive' for many years and manifested in much of his early poetry. After earning his law degree and moving to Hong Kong from America he began a long journey of preparation for the prophetic and media ministry calling the Lord has given to him.

Cheryl was raised in a traditional church but began to hear the Lord speak to her in conversation one day. Her open heart led her into an intimate relationship with the Lord that has borne fruit in encouragement, prophecy and intercession.

Tiara, who was born in Hong Kong, has also recently begun to have dreams, visions and prophetic psalms.



The ministry name, King Edward Ltd., is a reference to the inheritance we have in Christ as kings, those who have been given delegated authority within His Kingdom. The crowns we wear were won by Him, and we cannot claim them as having been earned in our own merit at all. Jesus, who was rich, became poor so that we may partake of His Wealth and share as joint-heirs, becoming rich as partakers of His inheritance. Part of this wealth, the crown of glory that adorns us, is the anointing of the Spirit of God that covers us. Each of us are anointed with unique power to function in our unique callings; one of the anointings that Christ has given us, and all believers in some measure, is the anointing of Kingship. We have been given understanding and wisdom to walk in this “kratos” governing power and it is a key element of our spiritual authority, as well as a component of the covenant wealth we are endowed with. All such gifts from God must be accepted in faith before they manifest in the natural realm.

In the case of our ministry, we came to realize in Christ we are called to reign as kings under the anointing of the royal priesthood, we choose that name as a prophetic declaration of our royalty that is hidden with Christ, and as such, in Christ is revealed through us as he manifests himself.

1 Pet 2:9. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's Own Possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

There have been many kings of the earth named Edward, which name translates as Guardian of Prosperity or Joy. We stand in that declaration that we are guardians of His supernatural wealth and joy — this is a promise we claim and stand on in faith! It is our identity in Christ — it is who we are TO Him and who we are IN him. It is therefore who we are in this world as well.
