This is a word I received during the first week of January, 2008, as I sought the Lord to share His Heart. I pray it helps you to enter into His blessings in this Year of the Lord’s Favor.

“This is a year of blessing for you. I want to show you My love. I will teach you, I will guide you. I will free you from all that holds you back.

“Receive My peace. I will raise you up.

“Stay with Me, trust in Me. Follow My guidance. Find rest in Me. Love Me.

“Those who have been prepared know how to see the Lion of Judah in the midst of what the roaring lion is doing. You are the most equipped to be strong. You know what it is to face difficulty and trial and yet take your eyes of everything that comes to steal, kill and destroy and look upon Me. You remember how difficult that was and yet how I trained you, how I equipped you and how I loved you. Now you are prepared to help. You are prepared to equip My people. So I say, Arise, Shine for your light has come. You have been prepared for such a time as this.

The Scriptures paint a most glorious picture of Zion, which refers to something absolutely spectacular, for Zion is a city, and a mountain, and is in fact the reality of “God with Us” — it is His Kingdom, His true Church. So it refers to the Heavenly City itself, New Jerusalem, but it is also His Church here on the earth, a body of faithful believers who have inherited a Kingdom not made by men (the Rock not carved with human hands of Daniel 2). When the people of God embrace the reality of the Kingdom that Jesus demonstrated, then we will start to see the many promises of this glorious city Zion manifest on earth.

But these promises, like most promises in the Bible, are somewhat conditional.

Desiring to always be a direct reflection of Jesus Christ has always seemed to put myself in a unique position with all walks of Christians. It seems that most Christians stand very divided in their beliefs about Jesus as the Lamb of God and/or the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. So much so, that they will actually become adamant that they are convinced that they KNOW Him and His true nature.

As reluctant as I often am about doing certain articles or prophecies, I do try to obey God, so I have attempted to put together what God would have me to, concerning this topic.

I’ve been wanting to do a teaching for some time on prophecies and how fluid and changeable they can be. God has been giving me many things concerning this over the past few weeks, and I feel now I can convey some things He would have people know.

When I was first called into the prophetic ministry, I knew very little about the prophetic. God showed me that I had much to learn. I was familiar with prophecies in the Bible, but that was about the extent of it. In the beginning, I was always under the impression that when a word of prophecy was spoken, it was “set in stone” and couldn’t be changed. I have found many people out there believe this also. However, I would like to share what I’ve learned from both God and personal experience.

I HEAR THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD SAYING:

“This will be a year like no other. I am pulling out all of the stops and I am releasing my glory from the beginning to the end says the Lord. I am stepping out of the walls of confinement and limitation and I will do a new thing in your midst.

“This shall be a year of transition and strategy for those who are willing to hear. This shall be a year of remembrance as well. Remember my goodness. Remember my promises. Remember what you have learned.

I hear the Lord saying: I’m shining your shoes with My Word and My Spirit. I’m causing your feet to be filled with the light of My Spirit. I’m creating a peace within you that causes light to shine out of your feet, and you will see your new path.

I think the Lord is leading us into a season of repentance and it will make things easier if we are mindful of what repentance really means.

The Lord has been showing many of us that the path to anointing, destiny and the fulfillment of Kingdom promises is the humble path of repentance. The trouble is we think repentance means to be sorry, so when we hear a call to repentance, we simply say, “Yes, Lord, I repent for that sin. I am sorry!”

The Idol Came down

Four weeks ago, we started a teaching night about end times. On our way to the host house we ran into a strong typhoon. Billboards, big trees, and telephone wires were falling down. Many roads were blocked. Amazingly we made it to the house. Their power was out, and water was all over the floor.

Despite all this, people still showed up and we did the teaching under candle light. Above all, this typhoon knocked down to the ground the idol this city, Cebu, worships. God is good!

The Season to Draw Near

There is a great shaking happening in the corporate body of Christ. There is also a shaking happening on every level within the lives and hearts of individual believers. As the Lord prunes areas of our hearts, it is so we can be more fruitful. God desires to multiply His Kingdom through you. But in order for that to happen it is vitally important that we re-strengthen the foundations.

You can only advance as high and as wide as your foundation will allow. If you have a faulty or weak foundation you will be limited in how much you can experience God’s multiplication.

They think of it as presenting a wish-list before Me in hopes that I might grant a few of their requests. They don’t realize that prayer, activated by faith, can move Mountains. It is a powerful tool that I have given you to use for My glory, to accomplish My purposes on this earth.

I must make clear to you in this hour of confusion of the heart that this is not because you have failed, or missed your calling or even messed it up. This has been ordained with a purpose beyond what you can see now.

These servants are those called into a season of purification and fine tuning of the intentions of the heart and the trust to the Father. Whatever it is that you have set your hand or heart to rest, if it is not the Lord’s chest, it will be removed by the crumbling, by the breaking, by the tottering because it will not hold your weight.

Life as you know it is going to change. You are very comfortable right now, but I tell you the truth, Great Change Is Coming.

The year 2008 will go down in the history book as “The Year Of The Up-Side-Down.”

Things that have been on the BOTTOM for many years will all of a sudden be on the TOP. There will be an evangelism explosion in the world. Like Paul and Silas in Acts: 17:6 These that have turned the world up side down. Entire cities and countries will be evangelized for Christ in the year 2008.
