The final countdown has begun.

About a month and a half ago, I had a short, serious dream one night after asking the Lord to speak to me. I originally e-mailed it out to close friends and then a few weeks ago the Lord told me to share it with etpv.org. I have gone to post it several times and each time got distracted by something else needing my attention and wasn’t able to do it. Then today, I was finally able to get it posted and was stunned when I realized the date was 10-9-08 (keep reading and you’ll understand why)! God’s timing is so perfect!

For two nights before having the dream, I felt very heavy about many trials that were coming all at once and wasn’t able to go to sleep till 2 or 3 am. During those hours I was praying, confessing sin and crying out to God for many people. It was a very intense couple of nights. Then after all of that, on the third night, I asked the Lord to please speak to me, and I had the following dream:

“I was in a house I didn’t recognize and immediately heard in the spirit that, ‘The final countdown has begun.’ Throughout the short dream, I was continuously walking along through the house, not fearful, but bracing myself for what was coming, knowing ‘it’ was going to happen at any moment.

“Then, all of a sudden, I looked up to the right and saw a HUGE red and orange fireball coming down from heaven and it came right through the roof! It landed in one of the rooms, but didn’t touch me. As I was walking through the house toward the room, I didn’t really want to see what had happened. As I passed by the room, a feeling of darkness came over me as I looked in. I wasn’t able to see much, but I could see where it had come down and I could only look at it for a second because I kept walking.

“As I continued to walk through the house, I wondered whether the fire was from God or not. Immediately, a long, vertical scroll appeared in front of me with a list of words on it describing what I had just witnessed. As I read the words, I was nodding in agreement because I understood what it all meant. When I woke up, the only word on the scroll I could remember was ‘Antichrist’.”

After the dream I thought about the symbolism of “the final countdown” and the familiar “10-9-8-7...” final countdown that starts when “all systems are ready to go.” In other words, everything is in place and just waiting for the final 10 seconds before lift-off!

The next day when I was repeating this dream to my mother, the scripture came to my mind out of Revelation 13:13-18 that says (speaking of the Antichrist):

“He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men....”

Then, when I originally e-mailed this out to friends, an amazing thing happened right after I finished typing the dream out. I was searching for a scripture reference on an online concordance, and all of a sudden a big ad popped up in front of me. It was a house with an open front door and you could see into it. The strange thing about it was that it immediately reminded me of the house in my dream. Then in big letters above it, it said, “The 10-second Walk”! Considering what I had just described, I was stunned and felt that God was confirming that He wanted me to send this out.

I am not pretending to know God’s timing of things, but we already know the “signs of the times” of the season of His coming are all around! Besides, we were already warned to be “watching and waiting” and ready in Scripture. Let this serve as another “urgent reminder.”

May God give each of us “eyes to see and ears to hear” what the Spirit is saying to our hearts and may we be found ready and doing what He told us to do! “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.” Luke 12:43

Also, the following scriptures came to mind and wanted to share them.......

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” Matthew 25:1-13

“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36

“Constantly be on your guard so that your hearts will not be loaded down with self-indulgence, drunkenness, and the worries of this life, or that day will take you by surprise.” Luke 21:34

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Matt. 7:21

“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” Rev. 3:10

“So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Rev. 3:16

“We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.” 1 John 3:14

“Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.” 1 John 3:7

“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” Luke 12:35-40

“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:3-5
