I asked: Lord, Your word says that “to everything there is a season.” What is the season for Your church in America?

He replied: It is the season for each to seek Me individually. It is the season to rid yourselves of all the things which separate us — things that are not sinful, but merely inconsequential and distracting to you. You say, “yes, but, it’s only a game.” The problem is that the game is distracting you ... and you may well miss when I call if you cannot hear me over “the yelling of the crowd.” It really doesn’t matter what the “game” is; if I didn’t call you to it, it is just a game.

This includes the things you do for recreation — all of them.

This includes the things you do for economic purposes — all of them.

This especially includes the things you do in My name — again, all of them.

Take time with Me. Find a quiet spot. Enjoy the view. And just sit awhile with Me.

Let’s just enjoy each other’s company for a while, shall we? If we can’t enjoy each other’s company, how can we ever grow close enough that I can trust you with the truly important — the people I bring into contact with you, whether on a daily basis ... or only once.

Some of you take pride in your ability to multi-task. It’s a good skill for you to have. I know. I made you able to do so. But, now is not the time.

Now, it’s time to just sit quietly with each other. Now is the time for you to rest in Me; for the day is coming when there will no longer be time to rest.
