"Is that what I am saying?" The Right Reading of Warning Words We don’t print many warning words in HKI because the Lord rarely prompts us to do so. I feel a time has come for us to start to publish some specific warning words, but I feel many people misunderstand them and so a proper explanation needs to precede most warnings so they will bear the right fruit (intimacy, faith, sanctification, hope), and not the wrong fruit (fear, isolation, murderous plans for self-protection, despair). Why do we misunderstand? First, there are often questions of timing. I’ve gotten words that mentioned a month ... but not the year! I eagerly waited for this fulfilllment which came ... just three years later than I expected. Or God will say, ‘soon’ and He means fifty years! Also, there may be conditions; He will say, “If you repent and stay faithful ... this will happen; if NOT, THIS will happen.” We need to follow the conditions; well really we first need to listen and hear His conditions! But what I really want to share starts with this: I was recently reading a warning word predicting destruction upon the US and other places when I heard the Lord speak, asking me, “Is that what I am saying?” Was God telling me this word, by a well known prophetic minister, was not reliable? The predicted catastrophe has been confirmed and repeated dozens of times and it lines up with the Bible’s end-times picture. So what is going on? I puzzled over this for a while before I finally understood, and this is a fine theological point that I don’t want to be unclear about, so let me speak plainly... God is not a minister of fear, so His focus is not on the calamity. He has to mention the trouble but that’s not what He’s really talking about; it’s not what His heart is preoccupied with. Our carnal focus is usually on the fear, and that’s why many unsaved, especially conspiracy theorists, are so quick to believe prophetic predictions of doom and judgment. This is not discernment so much as fear and superstition at work because only by true faith do we see God’s real hand at work in the earth, especially during calamities. But God knows we do this. He knows that we all start our journey towards heavenly faith from inside a darkened box steeped in a culture of fear. I believe this is why so many Psalms start off with the author (David, Asaph, or whomever) and they are in deep, deep trouble, complaining about the hordes of hell licking at their heels… BUT THEN they remember the Lord’s works, and that He will save those who call on His name! The Lord therefore honestly acknowledges that our troubles are real ... but Fear Kills and so the prophetic psalms lead us past the fear to see that there is ample reason to Hope, because God saves those who call on Him in faith. Seeing a Vision of Hope To look at it another way, we soon learn that God does not just see the physical reality of what’s going wrong, and so He can speak a word of destiny to us that will allow us to fix our eyes on the joy guaranteed to the overcomers ... such a word of hope and destiny will give us orientation to our faith, our belief, and a direction for our prayers and efforts so we will have courage in light of the hardships we are facing. We can easily become lost and depressed during trials without this vital insight and this is why prophecy is most often encouragement. Yes, God will surely warn and predict the catastrophes, but He will also paint a glorious picture of how He will manifest in those trials so we can overcome, all to all the display of His splendor and grandeur and mercy. Circumstances are true but not Truth Also we ought to consider that Joseph was promoted into training to be prime minister of Egypt by being sent into slavery and prison. If the Lord was going to foretell Joseph what he was about to go through, what would He tell him? What did He tell him? “You’re going to jail, man! Too bad for you. You’re gonna suffer for years and years! Oh well!” — No! While that was all true, God would not tell Joseph only that because it would do nothing but give him fear. It was true … but not Truth. Only predicting the hardships or other physical circumstances is focusing on the lowest level of reality and does not explain what is really going on, why, the effect of such trails, or give any hope to get us through them. But also recall what the Lord did tell Joseph, that his whole family, even his parents would bow down to him one day! What a crazy word! Most of us would judge that to be unbiblical — it exalts him, dishonors his parents, and could never happen in a million years! And we’d all be wrong. It was the Lord’s word and it happened just as it was foretold. So the big picture that He wants us to know is so very beyond our rational framework of God’s behavior or the normal possibilities of life that it often seems like nonsense. We cannot guess what He will do or say but we can still rely in faith on Him that despite the troubles we face there is ample reason for hope — just because HE IS, and He actually does know what He’s doing. He’s made provision for us to live in spiritual peace during physical global war, and He’s won a victory that we will personally enjoy, yes, even if we die in the flesh in the process, we are victorious over the whole earth if we but abide in Him. That then is our goal and the fruit a prophetic warning is supposed to produce. God has the LAST WORD We easily forget that the Book of Revelations is not the revelation of the anti Christ, although the anti-Christ and his beast system are revealed in it. No, it is the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. And it chronicles the destruction on Satan’s world dominion that Christ’s coming causes. So as John 10:10 says, while Satan may come, Jesus also comes. Satan never has the last word. Never! God will bring recompense to what he steals, life for what he kills, and order and destiny for what he destroys. I think it is easier and maybe even be better for now to avoid the enemy’s destruction, if we can, but even if we can’t, the Lord WILL turn all things around for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose. We win if we avoid the trouble … but we win if we don’t so long as we abide in Christ. That is the Lord’s heart in giving us prophetic warnings. So read the warning words below, but understand and teach people please, that while He is sharing these scary things, what He is really wanting to say is much more important — what He is saying is Psalm 91: He who ABIDES in the Lord will live in the Shelter of the Most High. This ‘vision’ of peace and hope will give us the direction to seek God to find the strength in our hearts to endure the hardships set before us in hopes of embracing the glory on the other side of these trials. Some Recent Warning Prophecies There are many places “End Times” prophecies can be found, but End Time Prophetic Vision by Bill Somers (www.etpv.org) is one of the most reliable. Most recently Warnings Of Sudden Changes, was posted by Susan Cummings, who on May 17, and 18 this year saw doors suddenly closing to Asian harvest, and greatly violent upheavals and turmoil coming to America. “Outbursts of violence, rage, fear, turmoil, and civil unrest will erupt in many areas. The Lord showed me that this will shortly come, as the dealing of God with this nation further intensifies and as the further breaking open of the heart of America is accomplished, to bring her to a true faith in God again.” www.etpv.org/2008/tpotri.html. Also in Trojan Horses Stand Proud In Europe, released May 24, 2008, Bob Chapman writes that while praying for Europe he saw a vision of thousands of Trojan horses standing proud in strategic places in every European country, readied for war as the inhabitants of those countries were sleeping. When those inside the Trojan horses attacked suddenly, rampaging through Europe, first in the UK, then Northern Europe. Indicating Islam, the people in shock were saying, “How can they mercilessly slaughter those who do not give glory to their religion and prophet?” Also, updated each month is ETPV’s earthquake report titled, “Ring of Fire and Quake Prayer Watch Update,” which is at www.etpv.org//2008/rofaq.html with an updated list of warning prophecies near the end of the page including: A Great Earthquake Coming, by Michael Boldea Jr. on February 3, 2006. www.etpv.org/2006/agequa.html. Michael Boldea, Jr. is the grandson of Dumitru Duduman who was a powerful prophet who revealed many warnings of judgment against America. His warning words and visions can be found, first, at Michael’s own site: http://hand-of-help.org. Also, many of his words are also posted on etpv.org, at the Book Page under Prophecies of Dimitru Duduman. Also on the earthquake watch page is America Breaks In Two, an Earthquake Vision, by Susan Cummings on November 27, 2004, http://www.etpv.org/2006/abi2.html. And you’ll also find one of Rosie Lovejoy’s series of visions, this one of note is Lion Of Zion XIV at http://www.etpv.org/2004/loz14.html. Also check out the ETPV Essentials Page, www.etpv.org/etpvsntl.html which has a good selection of some major words to help show the real scope of end times havoc and glory. Two of note are Prophetic Visions of E. R. Lindsey, containing a good overview of the end times events which others are also seeing, but he sees them in a larger context. And also Bonnie Chavada’s, It Will be Very Violent, wherein the Lord compares this time to events in the movie The Wizard of Oz.
