A few days ago a friend of mine in church shared with me a vision she had during an intense time of prayer and seeking the Lord. She saw a wine bottle on a table and it was broken on the inside, and then she saw a jagged hole on one side of the bottle and out of this hole full grapes were just pouring and pouring out. She also had the words, “Whatever can be shaken will be shaken.” My husband and I have the habit of sleeping with the bible playing on CD and the morning after my friend shared this word, I woke up listening to Isaiah 5 and as I listened the Lord showed me how there were full grapes in the wine bottle that should not be there. Grapes have to be crushed first before they can be put into the bottle as wine, and yet there were those who had not allowed what needed to be crushed and removed to be so, and had entered into the bottle not as pure spirit but as flesh mixed with spirit. I believe that this vision again confirms the purifying work of the Lord in this season.
Lord, I pray that we may all see clearly in what ways we have mixed flesh and spirit. Reveal to us Lord areas that remain unsurrenderd to You. We do not want to be grapes Lord, we want to go through Your winepress and be the new wine you made us to be ... In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
